You get paid the same day every month, and that's worth more than it looks

A recurring payment can be planned: you know when it lands and you can choose when to convert. What you decide once, and what you decide every month.

The difference between a one-off payment and payroll is that payroll has a calendar. You know which day it lands, you know it will land again next month, and above all you can decide in advance what to do with the money instead of improvising on the day.

That turns a recurring payment into something you configure once and review occasionally, rather than a monthly scramble.

What you decide once and what you decide monthly

DecisionHow oftenWhat to look at
The payment destinationOnce, and when you change bank or walletThat the CBU or CVU is still active and in your name
The currency you receive inOnce, if the contract allows itThat the destination accepts that currency
When you convert to pesosMonthly, or whenever you wantYour expenses that month and whether part is in euros

The destination does not review itself

It is the part people forget, precisely because it works. If you close an account, open a new wallet, or change the alias, payroll keeps pointing where it pointed.

The alias is the quietest one

An alias is a label the holder can edit, while a CBU or CVU is twenty-two digits that never change. For a detail that will sit saved for months on a payroll platform, that is the practical difference. The breakdown is in the twenty-two digits of an Argentine destination.

If the destination fails, you lose the cycle, not just the payment

When a payment bounces, the money returns the way it came, and that return is counted in business days too. Then the destination has to be fixed and the payment launched again. On a one-off payment that is an annoyance; on payroll, it is the month.

Why each leg takes as long as it does is in how long a transfer really takes.

Separating payday from conversion day

With the balance in euros, the day the money lands and the day you convert it stop being the same. You can convert all of it, part of it, or leave it in euros if your expenses are in euros too.

At BNKA that step is the swap inside the app and, after it, the withdrawal to your CBU or CVU. The corridor detail is in Argentina, the reference for the pair in EUR/ARS, and the full logic of a monthly payment in euro payroll and sending money home every month.

Worth stating plainly: BNKA is a technology platform. Financial services are provided by regulated partner institutions, and the terms in force for any given operation live in the app and in the terms and conditions.

What you decide and what you don't

  • You decide the destination, the currency you receive in where the contract allows it, and when you convert to pesos if the balance is in euros.
  • You don't decide the contract's payment date, the business days of the international rails, or the rate an intermediate leg applies.
  • We can't tell you this one: the tax treatment of recurring income from abroad depends on the Argentine rules in force and on your situation. That gets resolved with your accountant and the official source in front of you.

A quick review, once a quarter

  • The saved CBU or CVU is still active and in your name.
  • If you use an alias, it still points to the account you think it does.
  • Your name on the platform matches your ID document.
  • You know which currency lands and which one you spend in.
  • You have decided whether you convert on payday or at another moment.

And if you are organizing money home as well as getting paid, the detail is in the mistakes that cost you money when sending money home.

This is not financial, legal, tax, or investment advice.

Open your account with your passport, get paid in euros and send home whenever you need to.

Frequently asked questions

Should I convert everything on the day I get paid?

It is a decision, not an errand, and it depends on the currency your expenses are in. If part of what you pay is in euros, converting the whole amount to pesos on payday leaves you exposed to a single rate for the entire month. We cover it in converting your salary to pesos is not enough.

What if I change banks next month?

The destination has to be updated before the next cycle, not after the payment goes out. Once payroll is on its way to a CBU you have already closed, it usually bounces and comes back, and that round trip is counted in business days.

Can I use my partner's CBU?

No. The payment goes to the person on the contract and the destination account has to be in their name, under their tax ID. A third party's destination usually ends up held or returned. At BNKA we apply the same rule.

Why did one month arrive sooner than another?

Because the payment date falls at different points in the week and international legs are counted in business days. A payment leaving on a Thursday and one leaving on a Monday cross a different number of non-working days.
