BNKA and Wise compared with 100, 500 and 1,000 euros to Argentina, Peru and Colombia: how much arrives, how the exchange rate is shown, where the money lands and what details each one asks for.

Wise and BNKA are alike in the essentials: neither delivers cash, both credit a local account and both show the price before you pay. The difference is in how that price is built and in which details each one requires in Argentina.
We compare the two with the same three amounts (100, 500 and 1,000 euros), the same three destinations and the same five criteria: total cost, how the exchange rate is shown, where the money arrives, what the recipient needs and who provides the service. What we say about Wise comes only from its public website, consulted on 19 October 2026; what we say about BNKA comes from the public simulator at bnka.com on the same date.
These are the amounts from the public simulator at bnka.com, 19 October 2026 at 18:08 UTC. They are indicative: the rate moves during the day and the app shows the exact figure before you confirm. The pages to send money to Argentina from Europe, send money to Peru from Europe and send money to Colombia from Europe repeat this table per country.
| You send | Arrives in ARS (Argentina) | Arrives in PEN (Peru) | Arrives in COP (Colombia) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 EUR | 174,773.20 | 371.75 | 349,124.95 |
| 500 EUR | 873,866.00 | 1,858.75 | 1,745,624.77 |
| 1,000 EUR | 1,747,732.01 | 3,717.50 | 3,491,249.54 |
Wise publishes no equivalent dated table on the pages consulted: its arrival amount depends on the amount, the payment method and the moment, and you have to quote it in its calculator. That is why the honest comparison is not "who advertises the lowest fee" but how many pesos or soles are left for each euro sent.
| Criterion | BNKA | Wise |
|---|---|---|
| Total cost | The amount that arrives comes from the simulator before you confirm and is already the final figure in local currency. With the data from the public simulator at bnka.com, 19 October 2026 at 18:08 UTC: 100 EUR → 174,773.20 ARS, 371.75 PEN or 349,124.95 COP. No charges are added after you confirm. | Separates the exchange rate from the fee: it states it uses "the mid-market exchange rate" and shows the fee upfront. It warns of "dynamic charges for less widely used currencies and temporarily when markets are volatile". Fee figures on its pages depend on the amount and the payment method, so you need to quote the exact amount in its calculator. |
| How the exchange rate is shown | A single number: the rate applied (on 19 October 2026: 1,747.73 ARS, 3.7175 PEN and 3,491.25 COP per euro) and the amount that arrives, on screen before you confirm. | Mid-market rate as the reference and the fee shown separately before paying. It states it cannot guarantee the rate unless the payment comes from a Wise balance. |
| Where the money arrives | Argentina: 22-digit CBU or CVU. Peru: 20-digit CCI or a mobile number on Yape or Plin. Colombia: a peso account at a bank or wallet. Always a credit to an account; no cash. | Argentina: "any bank account" identified by CBU. Peru and Colombia: local bank account, paid out from its local account in the country. |
| What the recipient needs | Nothing to install. Only their local account details, with the holder's name matching; the app shows the name returned by the network before you confirm. In Colombia you need institution, account type, number and the holder's ID. | Argentina: full name, address, 22-digit CBU and 11-digit CUIT/CUIL; a stated limit of 18,000 USD equivalent per transfer and per month. Peru and Colombia: name and account details (its site does not list the local fields). |
| Who provides the service | BNKA is a software platform operated by Byte Neok AI SL (Spain); financial services are provided by an authorised and supervised entity in each country. It is not a bank. | Wise Europe SA, a payment institution authorised in Belgium, according to its own site. |

Wise shows two numbers: a reference rate (the mid-market rate) and a fee that depends on the amount and the payment method. BNKA shows one: the amount that arrives. To compare them you reduce both to the same sum: pesos or soles received divided by euros sent.
The sum that works for any provider is one: divide the local currency received by the euros sent and compare that number with the mid-market rate of the pair that day (EUR/ARS, EUR/PEN, EUR/COP). The distance between the two is the FX spread, and that is where the cost no fee advertises lives.
In Argentina, Wise asks for the recipient's CBU, CUIT or CUIL and address; its ARS guide does not mention wallet CVUs. BNKA accepts a CBU or a CVU and shows the holder before you confirm.
In Argentina the destination is a CBU or a CVU; in Peru, a CCI or a mobile number on Yape or Plin; in Colombia, a peso account with institution, account type, number and ID. In every case the holder's name has to match: account ownership is checked before you confirm and a mismatched detail causes a return. Receiving other people's money in your account to pass it on is one of the mistakes that cost you money when sending money home.
Wise makes sense when you need something BNKA does not do: sending from a balance you already hold in Wise, or moving currencies other than euros. BNKA makes sense when you get paid in euros in Europe (payroll, clients, platforms) into a European IBAN in your name, even with an IBAN account without a NIE, and you want the amount you see in the simulator to be the amount that lands in an account in Argentina, Peru or Colombia.
The other comparisons in the series: BNKA vs Global66, BNKA vs Western Union, BNKA vs Revolut. And if the question is which routes exist beyond the big names: alternatives for sending to Argentina, alternatives for sending to Peru and alternatives for sending to Colombia.
Wise's terms change and only its website is current; this comparison reflects what was published on 19 October 2026. BNKA is a software platform operated by Byte Neok AI SL (Spain); financial services are provided by an authorised and supervised entity in each country. This is not financial, legal, tax or investment advice.
According to its ARS guide consulted on 19 October 2026, Wise sends pesos to any bank account in Argentina and asks for full name, address, 22-digit CBU and 11-digit CUIT/CUIL, with a limit of 18,000 USD equivalent per transfer and per month.
It depends on the amount, the payment method and the day. Wise shows mid-market rate plus fee; BNKA shows the amount that arrives. Divide the local currency received by the euros sent in both and compare that number.
In a local account: CBU or CVU in Argentina, CCI or Yape/Plin in Peru, a peso account in Colombia. There is no cash pickup.
With BNKA, only their account details and a matching holder name; nothing to install. With Wise in Argentina, also CUIT/CUIL and address.
No. It is a software platform operated by Byte Neok AI SL (Spain); financial services are provided by an authorised and supervised entity in each country.
